Refacing can be a very smart way to update your kitchen if your cabinets are out dated or tired looking, but the cabinet boxes are in good shape.  People who have recently replaced their counter with beautiful new granite, quartz, or Corian™ tops are often disappointed by how old and worn their cabinets look in contrast.  Refacing is a perfect solution to this all too common problem.  It will provide you with the dramatic makeover that you were looking for.  And refacing typically costs 30 to 40% less than new cabinets and is completed with very little interruption to your life.  Most kitchens can be completely transformed in one to three days and you won’t have to wash a single dish in your bathtub.

Once you decide refacing is right for you, we begin the process of selection. You can choose from many different door styles like shaker with flat recessed panel, traditional raised panel, the stately profiles of mitered construction, or the clean simplicity of a modern slab.  You will also select from a variety of crown profiles, and other moulding options to complement your door style.  The species of wood will impact the character of your kitchen too.   You can have maple for its versatility and durability, cherry for its rich timelessness, oak for its relaxed country beauty, or any other species.  We will show you many samples finishes that you can choose from or we can create another custom color and finish for exactly the feel you want.  If new drawer boxes are part of the project you can pick plywood or dovetailed solid wood on undermount glides with soft close feature.  Decorative hardware selection is an important part of achieving the finished look that will be created.  We have a large selection available so you’ll be certain to find the perfect choice.  All of the hardware used by Anders Cabinets has a lifetime replacement warranty.

Back at our shop, we build new doors and drawer fronts to fit your cabinets in the finish and wood type of your choice.  The new mouldings are brought in and finished with your new faces and prepared for onsite installation.  Select veneers and plywood panels are prepared and finished to use for covering the cabinets in your house.  Drawer boxes are made at this time as well.

When all of your new parts have been made and finishing is complete, we will schedule the installation date with you.  On arrival we begin by lightly sanding your cabinets, then wiping them clean with mineral spirits to ensure a rock solid bond with our materials.  We apply real wood to all exposed faces and ends to completely conceal your original cabinets.  Mouldings are cut and fastened precisely and nail holes are filled with matching putty.  Doors and drawers are then mounted using high quality drawer glides and 6 way adjustable hinges.  And for the finishing touch, we embellish your cabinets with the decorative hardware that you have chosen.

From our first appointment to the installation of the final knob our goal is to provide you with quality woods, hardware, and finishes in a professional, timely manner.  We also strive to give you a terrific value for your money on every project - without exception. Refacing is a great way to bring your kitchen up to date without all of the cost and inconvenience of a full kitchen remodel.  Let us show you how easy and enjoyable getting a beautiful new kitchen can be.
